Bar Review Talk

February 18 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

WHETHER YOU ARE A 1L, 2L, OR TAKING THE BAR THIS WINTER OR SUMMER, THIS SESSION ON THE BAR APPLICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT. IT IS OPEN TO ALL HLS STUDENTS. I’ll stop using caps now and tell you why…

Executive Director of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners, Marilyn Wellington, and Barbara Bowe, LISCW from Lawyers Concerned for lawyers will answer the tough questions that appear on bar applications in ALL jurisdictions, and what requires disclosure. They will primarily focus on MA, NY, & CA, but will answer difficult disclosure questions nationwide. Please join Marilyn and Barbara for their short presentation on Character and Fitness, what both of those terms mean, and Q&A following.

When? Tuesday, February 18 from 12-1pm
Where? WCC 2009
What will be covered? All of the difficult to answer questions on bar applications.
Who should come? All HLS students, starting from 1Ls wondering what potential issues could arise in their bar application.

Put your mind at ease by getting the facts early. Add your questions to this SURVEY that you would like answered at the session – this makes the hour run more efficiently, and we typically see that most students are asking questions around the same topics.

Non-pizza lunch will be provided. Session will NOT be recorded.

Sponsored by the Student Mental Health Association and Student Government
