2019 CSEL Sports Law Symposium

April 1 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Harvard Committee on Sports & Entertainment Law and the Harvard Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law present the 2019 Harvard Sports Law Symposium. An annual event, the Symposium is intended to bring together sports industry–focused practitioners, academics, and students for meaningful discussions on the most pressing business and legal issues in the sports world. This year, we will have panels on critical questions facing the business of sports from a legal perspective (e.g., SCOTUS’ recent Murphy v. NCAA decision, which overturned the federal ban on sports betting), current hot topics for Lead 1 athletic directors, women’s leadership roles in sports law, amateur college athletes and eligibility rules in professional sports, and a fireside chat with former NBA player and activist, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf on the role of professional athletes in critical social justice movements. Please reserve your attendance by emailing HarvardSportsLawSymposium2019@gmail.com.
