Civil Procedure 6

This course examines the process of civil litigation. We will consider the jurisdiction of the courts, key the stages of a case, the role of various actors in the civil justice system, the interplay between state and federal courts, and the binding effect of a court’s judgment. Constitutional and statutory constraints on the goals, structure, and conduct of litigation will also be considered, with additional emphasis on the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
