Commencement Orations Competition 2023

Calling all degree candidates!

Do you have something exceptional to share with your fellow graduates? Consider entering the Commencement Orations Competition, one of the oldest and most cherished traditions of the Morning Exercises.

The upcoming Orators Workshop (February 23 at 3:30 p.m. in Emerson Hall, room 105) is the perfect opportunity to learn what makes a great speech but is also a chance to ask questions of Dean Robin Kelsey, the chair of the faculty committee that hosts the competition. If you cannot attend the Workshop in person, a recording will be posted about a week following.

KEY DATES
• Workshop: February 23 @ 3:30 PM, Emerson 105
• Submission Deadline: March 30 @ 11:59 PM
• Preliminary Auditions: April 20 @ 4 PM, TBD
• Final Auditions: April 27 @ 4 PM, TBD
