Student Note Competition
Due: Sunday, June 7 by 11:59 PM

Submit your student writing to the Harvard International Law Journal’s Student Note
Competition! The winner of the Competition for Volume 62(1) will be published alongside leading academics and receive comprehensive feedback throughout the editing process. Successful Notes are engaging, make new arguments, and deal with international or comparative law. Pieces should be between 8,000 and 16,000 words, including footnote citations. Only current HLS students or graduates one year out (JDs, LLMs, and SJDs all welcome) are eligible for the Competition.

To submit, send a Word version of your Note and a resume to submissions.hilj@gmail.com with the subject line “Student Note Submission 62(1)” by June 7.

Comment Note Competition
Due: Sunday, June 7 by 11:59 PM

Submit a Book Review or a Case Comment to the Harvard International Law Journal! The Note should engage with and comment on a book or case that has relevant international law or comparative law implications. Successful Comment Notes are engaging, make new arguments, and deal with international or comparative law. They will be considered for publication in the Journal’s print alongside articles from leading academics and practitioners.

To submit, send a Word version of your Note with the subject line “Comment Note Submission 62(1)” by June 7.

Pieces should be between 500 and 1,500 words, including footnote citations. Only current HLS students or graduates one year out (JDs, LLMs, and SJDs all welcome) are eligible.
