Alumni in Residence with Bill O’Farrell JD’88 of Body Labs

*NEW EVENT* William J. ("Bill") O'Farrell has been starting and running tech companies for longer than he'd like to admit. He was most recently co-founder and CEO of Body Labs, a computer vision and AI company purchased by Amazon in 2017. Bill was also co-founder and CEO of such companies as SpeechWorks, acquired by Nuance, OpenAir.com, acquired by Netsuite, and the Company of Science & Art, which created the After Effects product line, acquired by Adobe. Bill is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Columbia Business School where he teaches “Launch Your Start-up” and “Launching Social Ventures.” He is also a Chief Mentor at NYU’s Endless Frontier Labs – a non-profit incubator program for deep tech and digital start-ups. Bill has been involved as a founder, CEO, advisor, consultant and bottle washer at numerous companies in the software, clean-tech, biotech and consumer sectors, and he believes that he’s made every mistake possible at least twice.
