Over 600 alumni and guests returned to Cambridge for Reunion Weekend in April to enjoy a celebration with classmates and friends. During the reunion, alumni engaged in an exciting selection of lectures, panels, symposia, receptions, dinners, and tours. They witnessed history as the Wasserstein Hall, Caspersen Student Center, Clinical Wing Building was officially dedicated. Over the weekend, attendees heard from HLS professors who spoke about their research, learned more about exciting new initiatives on campus, and connected and reconnected with old friends (view the program).

Many reunion participants heard from Dean Martha Minow, who highlighted some of her key priorities at HLS, including her commitment to strengthening the ties between the legal profession and practice, as well as new faculty appointments, while also talking about programs that cross-pollinate with other disciplines through the Harvard network. She underscored the important role that alumni play in the life of the School and encouraged their feedback and suggestions.

The Honorable Elena Kagan ’86, Associate Justice, Supreme Court of the United States, celebrated with reunion classes and attendees while discussing the genesis of the WCC with Drew Faust, President of Harvard University, former HLS Dean Robert Clark ’72, and Dean Minow. Alumni participated in “A Conversation with the Dean,” while Dan Coquillette ’71 held a fascinating conversation on “A Look at Harvard Law School’s History Through Its Buildings and Leaders” and Jody Freeman ’91 provided an in-depth view of “U.S. Energy and Climate Policy—A View from the Trenches.”

The weekend was topped off with cocktails and dinner on Saturday night and a Sunday brunch at the Harvard Faculty Club.

It was wonderful to have so many alumni back on campus. If you were unable to join us, we hope to see you in Cambridge soon. It is not the same without you!
