An in-depth look at how landmark copyright cases progress from problem, to Complaint, to the Supreme Court of the United States. We plan to analyze two important copyright cases, working from actual case files, pleadings and briefs, to understand what happened and why, and to permit the students in the class to put themselves in the position of the attorneys handling the cases, as they attempt to develop winning strategies and arguments.

This reading group will meet on the following dates: January 28, February 4, February 25, March 11, March 25 and April 8.
