Biography

ELOISE P. LAWRENCE is a Community Lawyering Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and Lecturer on Law. In Spring 2015, she co-taught Housing Law and Policy, and in the 2015-2016 academic year, she is co-teaching Introduction to Advocacy. Since 2011, she has been working at the Bureau with students and organizers to defend hundreds of families against post-foreclosure eviction and to retain their homes. She serves as supervisor for the Student Practice Organization - Project No One Leaves. Prior to coming to Harvard, she worked as an attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services and the Conservation Law Foundation in Boston. She started her legal career as a Skadden Fellow in Chicago. She received a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 2002 and a B.A. from Stanford University in 1995.
