Manish K. Mital
Lecturer on Law
Manish K. Mital is a member of the Core Management Team of the Office of the Chairman of Bridgewater Associates, which provides managerial oversight of the firm’s operations. Mr. Mital additionally serves as an appointed Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, having been recruited to create and teach the school’s flagship funds course, Hedge and Private Equity Funds: Law & Policy.
Prior to joining Bridgewater, Mr. Mital was an equity partner and the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel and a Member of the Executive Committee of Halcyon Capital Management, a global investment firm managing assets in hedge funds, private equity, and other strategies. Before his time at Halcyon, Mr. Mital was a Senior Counsel with the Division of Enforcement of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, focusing primarily on hedge fund and PE malfeasance. Mr. Mital began his career as a litigator with Williams & Connolly.
Mr. Mital earned his JD, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mr. Mital sits on the Development Committee of the Innocence Project and previously served on the Boards of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association and the Harvard Institutional Investor Forum.
Originally from Auburn, New York, Mr. Mital lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife Sonya, son Johan, daughter Maj-Britt, and their dogs, Baxter and Pippi.
