Peter Grossi

Peter Grossi is a retired partner at Arnold & Porter and a former chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. For the last 35 years he has represented pharmaceutical companies and other industries, as both trial and national coordinating counsel, in cases throughout the country. He has repeatedly been named as the “Senior Statesman” of the American product liability bar by Chambers USA.

Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, he clerked for Judge J. Joseph Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In addition to teaching at HLS since 2011, he has taught at the law schools of Columbia, Yale, Penn, and the University of Virginia, as well as for the Defense Research Institute, AEI-Brookings Judicial Education Program, and various sections of the ABA.
