Co-sponsored by the Food Law Society, Health Law Society, Food Law & Policy Clinic, and the DOS Grant Fund. Join us for a talk with Vox.com’s Senior Health Correspondent, Julia Belluz.

The United States food and healthcare systems are complex and ever-changing. What to do about GMOs, Is Sugar is the New Tobacco?, Are Dietary-Supplements Safe?, What Will Trump’s New FDA Commissioner or Health Secretary Do?, What Are the Public Health Conditions of Appalachia and the Mississippi Delta? This event examines the role that journalism plays in developing and disseminating accurate, data-driven information to both thought-leaders and the population at large. In a country that is both highly technologically advanced and economically unequal, evidence-based journalism is a necessary element to driving good Public Health policy and public awareness and support thereof.

Vegan Lunch Provided.
