A talk about working with human rights and international law inside the United Nations. Judge Martha Halfeld is a member of the United Nations Appeals Tribunal. She has a PhD from Université Panthéon-Assas, and has written about human rights, alternative dispute resolution and international labour standards. Patrick Luna is a Brazilian diplomat that actively participates in multilateral negotiations at the United Nations on issues related to international law, protection of civilians and counter-terrorism. He currently coordinates the Group of Friends of the International Criminal Court in New York. The talk is part of the series “Human Rights Activism: a perspective from the South”.
