HALB and HLS Republicans present Deborah Majoras, Chief Legal Officer of Procter & Gamble (P&G), former chair of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the DOJ’s Antitrust Division.
After earning her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, Deborah Majoras clerked in the Federal District Court in D.C. and was a partner at Jones Day doing antitrust work. In 2001, Ms. Majoras was appointed the Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. From 2004-2008, Ms. Majoras served as chair of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission under the Bush administration. She became Vice President and General Counsel of Procter & Gamble in 2008.
