Please join HALB and Davis Polk for a discussion on FinTech and Virtual Currency. Blockchain technology and virtual currencies are all the rage—from bitcoin, to ICOs, to utility tokens. The quickly developing technologies and markets give rise to a wide range of legal and regulatory questions, on which U.S. and non-U.S. regulators are increasingly focused. Jai Massari, a partner in Davis Polk’s Financial Institutions Group, will discuss recent developments in virtual currency and blockchain regulation, key issues being faced by market participants and regulators, and how regulators in the United States and globally are responding. Bitcoin chocolate will be served. BBQ and Fried Chicken from Highland Fried will be served.
