The HLS Urbanists, Dems, ACS, and WLA welcome Jan Devereux to lead a talk/workshop focused on activism in local government that will give current students the skills they need both to be an asset to a political campaign and to run for office.

Councillor Devereux is a longtime Cambridge and local activist. She was president and co-founder of the Fresh Pond Residents Alliance, has worked and volunteered at a number of local schools, and . She first took office in 2015 and is currently running for reelection to the Cambridge City Council. She has declined contributions from large real estate developers and supports smart development, including better transit planning.
