A movement to establish the case for reparations to the formerly enslaved people and nations of the Caribbean, by former colonial nations in Europe, is gaining increasing traction. We dive into the subject through the case of Haiti. Join us for a lunch talk by Westenley Alcenat, Haitian-American historian, educator, and PhD Candidate at Columbia University, followed by a discussion moderated by Prof. Malick Ghachem, historian, lawyer and history professor at MIT. Brought to you by the Reparatory Justice Initiative at Harvard Law School, Harvard Black Law Students Association, La Alianza, Harvard Law & International Development Society, and Students for Inclusion. A Haitian lunch will be served.
