Roy L. Austin, Deputy Assistant to the President for Urban Affairs, Justice, and Opportunity, will discuss the President’s efforts to reform the criminal justice system and improve social and economic mobility in urban areas through initiatives such as My Brother’s Keeper and Choice Neighborhoods. Since March 2014, Austin has served as the head of the Office of Urban Affairs, Justice, and Opportunity, which focuses economic mobility, labor policy, civil rights, and other justice issues. Co-sponsored by HLPR and HLS Urbanists. Lunch will be served!
