Harvard University’s Academic Technology group is piloting a new service: WordPress Blogs also known as “beta blogs”. The Blogs are integrated with iSites group service, in that the user roles in the blog can be set for individuals and groups from iSites. The Blogs are accessible with a HUID and PIN, and can be used in conjunction with courses in iSites for student assignments, to showcase student work, to share relevant links or materials on topics with the class, and to allow interaction with materials via moderated comments. The Blogs at Harvard website contains more information about the project. If you would like to try a blog in your HLS course, contact the TLC group at email@example.com.
