LIPP participants often contact our office with concerns about qualifying for a mortgage. Their primary worry is that they will have difficulty getting approved for a mortgage because of their high monthly education loan payments. Eligibility for mortgages is dependent on multiple factors and we are unfortunately not able to provide guarantees of future eligibility, however, we are able to provide a letter on behalf of participants which outlines the parameters of the LIPP program and details the loan repayment assistance we have provided. With the written permission of participants we are also happy to speak with mortgage brokers directly to address any concerns they may have about a participant’s debt to income ratio.

We are also able to provide letters which describe the program for individuals to present to potential landlords when applying for apartments.
