Harvard University and Law School Funding
Harvard Law School students have access to many sources of funding through the law school and the larger university. Funding is available for 3Ls, LLMs, recent graduates, and students working unpaid public interest positions during the summer.
There are hundreds of fellowships available outside of Harvard for postgraduate and summer funding. In addition to the online resources listed below, students are welcome to come to OPIA to review the current edition of PSJD’s Fellowship Guide.
HLS students interested in pursuing postgraduate fellowships are encouraged to meet with OPIA’s Fellowship Director, Judy Murciano. Judy has been advising on fellowships for more than 16 years. She has been incredibly successful at helping HLS students land wonderful public service and traveling fellowships. She has also been able to assist our graduates become social entrepreneurs by helping them obtain seed money for independent projects and new non profits.
A note about fellowship application review:
Judy works with fellowships applicants on brainstorming, drafts, and revisions. You must make an appointment for application review; to use your appointment most productively, please send your materials at least 48 hours in advance.
