About the Video Conference Interview Room
OCS has a dedicated room and equipment available to current students to conduct video conference interviews while they are on campus.
Video Conferences through OCS may be conducted Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM EST and 5:00 PM EST. If the office is closed video conferences cannot take place.
Timeline For Submitting Requests
Please note that requests should be submitted at least 3 business days in advance of the anticipated interview date with additional lead time given for international connections. This lead time is used by our staff to coordinate a test call in advance of the interview so as to limit connection disruptions during the interview. See below for step-by-step instructions to submit a request.
Software/Video Conference Connection Type
The video conference room and video conference request form is for IP or ISDN video calls only using our Cisco codec. OCS cannot host interviews that are taking place using Skype, Google Hangouts or a similar video conferencing/virtual meeting software.
How to Submit a Video Conference Interview Request
Step 1: Confirm the Interview Time
Coordinate the interview time and date between parties. Information needed:
- The date of the interview
- Time of Interview calculated to local Boston time (EST/EDT)
- The approximate duration of the interview
Note that interviews may be conducted Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM EST and 5:00 PM EST

Step 2: Confirm the Contact Information
OCS will use this information to confirm the video conference interview and coordinate technical details. Information needed:
- Employer Primary Contact Information (name, email, phone)
- Employer IT Contact’s Information (name, email, phone)
- Student Contact Information (name, email, phone)
Step 3: Submit your request
To submit a request, complete a Video Conference Request Form (online survey). You will receive acknowledgement of your submission from the Recruiting Team within 24 hours or on Monday if you submitted your request during a weekend. You will receive your room location with the confirmation email.
Requests should be submitted at least 3 business days in advance of the anticipated interview date with additional lead time given for international connections. If less time is given OCS may not be able to accommodate your request.
Step 4: Day of the Interview
Students should check in at the OCS front desk about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled interview time. You will be escorted to the video conference interview room and an OCS staff member will set up the call. Please notify the OCS from desk after you have finished your interview.
