Building a 21st Century Small Law Practice
Friday, May 8, 2015 at 12:00PM EST
With Heidi Alexander, Law Practice Management Advisor at the Massachusetts Law Office Management Assistance Program (MassLOMAP)
The economy has changed, competition is steep, and clients expect the same (or more) services for half the price. Large and small law firms alike must adapt to survive. This program contemplates the changing legal landscape while diving head first into what you need to know to open a small law practice in the 21st century. Whether you are a brand new solo or small firm or thinking about opening shop, you’ll benefit from the discussion of topics such as pricing strategies, technology, marketing, staffing, office options, and more. This webinar will provide a checklist of best practices for you to use when setting up your small law practice.
Heidi S. Alexander, Esq. is a Law Practice Management Advisor at the Massachusetts Law Office Management Assistance Program (MassLOMAP), where she advises lawyers on practice management matters and provides guidance in implementing new law office technologies. She is the co-host of the Legal Toolkit podcast, frequently makes presentations to the legal community, and contributes to publications on law practice management and technology, including the American Bar Association’s Law Technology Today, Attorney at Work, and Technolawyer. Prior to joining MassLOMAP, Heidi owned and operated a technology consulting business, practiced employment law and litigation at a small Boston-based firm, clerked for a justice on the highest court of New Jersey, worked for a nonprofit women’s business assistance center, and was editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Law Review. Follow her on Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.
