2009-2010 (Not Currently Being Offered)

This summer (2009), Harvard Law School will continue its Post-Graduate Research Fellowship program. The Fellowship is aimed at recent HLS JD graduates entering practice but interested in eventually pursuing academic careers in law. It is designed to give graduates an opportunity to conduct research and to prepare for the law teaching market while they gain practice experience working in other jobs. Benefits of the Fellowship include ongoing access to the Harvard libraries and electronic research tools (Lexis, Westlaw, HeinOnline, JSTOR, etc.), invitations to special programs at HLS related to law teaching, and connections to a network of HLS alums interested in academia. The Fellowship term is three years.

The Fellowship is available to graduating 3L JD students. Applications are due on April 15, 2009; decisions will be made by the end of that month. Please submit a resume, transcript, and a brief statement describing your plans for the next three years and how you would take advantage of the Fellowship during this time. Applications should be delivered electronically to the Office of Academic Affairs.
