Poets, writers, artists, mystics, scholars: The CSWR has launched its new literary and visual arts magazine, Periphery, as a space to explore and celebrate the affinity between the creative impulse and the divine. We are currently seeking submissions of original work for our inaugural issue, which will be themed on ‘pain,’ broadly conceived. In addition to poetry, short stories, creative non-fiction, and photography, we invite any and all submissions that elude traditional genres, be they lyric essays, aphorisms, illustrations, photographic essays, paintings, or any art that can be expressed on the page. The magazine will also consider proposals of photography or other visual projects that need further support to come to fruition.
If you are interested in being involved in the project of Periphery, or have any questions about a possible submission, please be in touch with Byron Russell (MTS ’19) at email@example.com. We are particularly open to readers, layout designers, and visual artists interested in joining the staff.
All work must be received by January 31st, and should be limited to 3-5 pieces a person. We can consider work published elsewhere, within certain parameters. Send all submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
