“Sand Storm” Film Screening and Discussion

Join the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School for an event on Bedouin women’s gender, social and political challenges and attempts to negotiate change in their societies, with patriarchy, tradition, and the State of Israel.

Preceding the special screening of the award-winning movie Sand Storm, Dr. Safa Abu Rabia will make a short presentation, and we will close with a discussion moderated by Dr. Kessely Hong.

Tribal Justice

Screening of the documentary film Tribal Justice. Synopsis: Two Native American judges reach back to traditional concepts of justice in order to reduce incarceration rates, foster greater safety for their communities, and create a more positive future for their youth. By addressing the root causes of crime, they are providing models of restorative justice that are working. Mainstream courts across the country are taking notice.
