Spring 2014 Reading Group
Meets: Th 5:00pm - 7:00pm in WCC Room 4062

This reading group will be dedicated to the differences, both real and perceived, between criminal violence and political violence. It will explore the various causes and meanings of violence in domestic and political contexts, popular perceptions of crime and war, and the legal regimes that are applicable to each mode of violence. We will also consider what victory means in the “war on crime,” the “war on terrorism,” and other types of contemporary wars.
